Day 4: Rhodes Village, Eastern Cape, South AfricaToday anglers enjoy another full day of fly-fishing, this time for trophy Stillwater Trout on the amazing Birkhall Dam, or the trophy dam/lake situated near the Tiffendell Ski Resort. The Tiffendell Ski Resort is South Africa's only ski resort and is located 9000 feet above sea level. These dams and lakes are home to some giant fish, some often more than 2.3 kilograms (5 pounds).
Non anglers enjoy a trip up to the summit of Naude's Nek Pass (10 000 feet above sea level). Here you will enjoy spectacular views of the rolling hills and grass plains of the Eastern Cape interior, as well as the mountains of Lesotho. Your trip is followed by a cold lunch and drinks served at the summit.
This evening you gather for an aperitif on the outdoor terrace, before enjoying a dinner prepared by the chef from the Rhodes Hotel. Day 5: LesothoToday another full day of guiding is planned. Depending on the weather conditions while fly fishing in Lesotho, the guiding will include a visit to the freestone streams of Southern Lesotho in search for Brown and Rainbow Trout. The gorges and steep mountains makes the terrain rugged, and the streams are hardly ever fished, making this experience adventure fly fishing at its best.
For non fishers, you spend the day climbing the Rhodes Mountain, accompanied by a guide carrying the refreshments and lunch. Lunch will be served on the summit of the mountain, overlooking the beauty of the valley and village below.
Tonight you will enjoy an a la carte dinner served at the Rubicon Restaurant. Day 6: DepartYou tuck into a mouth watering breakfast on the morning on day 6, followed by a farewell from the guides as you depart for your journey home. Included:
