Dawson's Game and Trout Lodge is situated amongst scenic vallues and dramatic mountainous terrain in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. The lodge is conveniently located only a short drive from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). Transfers to the lodge from the airport can be arranged.
Guests can easily drive up from Johannesburg. The drive will take approximately 3 hours. The lodge is also conveniently situated only one and a half hours drive from the Kruger National Park. The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is also only 2 hours away by car.
Directions from Johannesburg:
Take the N12 to Witbank joining the N4 and continue towards Nelspruit. Turn off at the Machadodorp (R541) and follow the signs to Badplaas. At the T-junction turn left to Barberton (R38) and the entrance to the lodge will be situated about 15.2 kilometres (9.4 miles) up the road on your left.
Directions from Midrand:
Take the M1 North to Pretoria and follow the N1 towards Polokwane (Pietersburg). Branch off to the N4 to Witbank and later Nelspruit. Follow the directions to Machadodorp and the lodge as stated above.
Directions from Pretoria:
Take the N4 to Witbank/Nelspruit following the directions to Machadodorp and the lodge as above.
Directions from O.R Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg):
Take the R21 to Boksburg turning east to Witbank on the N12 which joins the N4. Follow the N4 until you are able to turn off at Machadodorp on the R541 and follow the signs to Badplaas. At the T-junction, turn left to Barberton (R38) and the entrance to the lodge is about 15.2 kilometres (9.4 miles) up the road to the left.
Directions from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport:
Take the R40 to Barberton and turn off onto the R38 to Badplaas. The entrance to Dawson's Game and Trout Lodge is approximately 37 kilometres (23 miles) after the turn off on your right.
