Dawson's Game and Trout Lodge provides guests with exclusive, luxury Mpumalanga accommodation in a beautiful natural environment. There are several Mpumalanga accommodation options to choose from, depending on the guests' needs.
Guests staying at this Mpumalanga accommodation can enjoy delicious meals in the Main Lodge. Alternatively, guests staying in the Homestead or Creekside Cottage can choose to self cater or to enjoy their meals in the Main Lodge, where they will be charged per head. Guests are advised to inform the lodge of any special dietary requirements in advance.
Main Lodge:
The Main Lodge feature 8 luxurious en-suite rooms with large Victorian style bathrooms. The spacious suites have striking dry-stone interior walls, while the comfortable 4-posted king size bed is fitted with luxurious percale linen. The hand picked antique furniture and fireplace sets a romantic mood.
Guests can enjoy some sherry and nuts on their private veranda overlooking the valley and mountains. The suites also feature heated towel rails, walk-in closets, fully stocked mini-bar with Dawson's home made chocolate chip cookies and freshly ground coffee and room service. Slippers can be supplied on request. There is no TV or phones in the suites and laundry can be done on site.
Homestead:
This restored farm house features 7 double rooms of which 5 are en-suite and additional beds for children. The house can accommodate 14 people sharing plus there are 3 additional bunk beds in the TV room, ideal for children. This Mpumalanga accommodation is ideal for large parties that know each other, families or conference groups.
The house is serviced daily, but soap, wood and ice is extra. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a lapa (thatched outdoor enclosure) which is ideal for entertaining. A large lounge features a TV with DSTV. The house is situated in front of the largest trout dam on the property and features its own swimming pool.
Creekside Cottage:
This thatched roof stone cottage is tucked away in the privacy of Dawson's scenic mountainside. This Mpumalanga accommodation features its own trout dam, making it ideal for fly0fishing enthusiasts. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, TV and DSTV. The private veranda is ideal for enjoying sundowners and watching the sun set.
The cottage is open plan with a double bed upstairs. Additional accommodation is provided with 2 single beds, a double sleeper couch and 2 pull out mattresses. The cottage is ideal Mpumalanga accommodation for a family or 2 couples. This self catering unit is serviced daily.
